A pintle hook is a claw or pincer type device that clamps through a lunette ring on the tongue of a trailer. A pintle hook and lunette ring makes a more secure coupling when used on rough terrain, compared to the traditional ball-type trailer hitch. Please note: This heavy duty 20 Ton Pintle Hook is made to mount on commercial truck body hitch plates only. It cannot be used with pintle mounts which install into receiver style hitches. 9/16 inch mounting hardware required - sold separately.
